What Makes Paleo Power Meals Different
If my sweet tooth ever gets really bad, I tend to reach for some fat free vanilla Greek yogurt which is easy to fit in my macros and usually does the trick. Lastly, what would you say to someone who is in the same position as you were last year? I've got to go, boy. What's that you got there, boy? Alright, give her here, I'll take a swig. You can choose between overnight, 2-day, and ground shipping.
You can enjoy a vast majority of them while on the Whole30 program or ketogenic diet. The great news is that the meals are also free from gluten. You can rely on Paleo Power Meals to provide you with every meal of the day and cover all your dietary needs.
The dishes come in ample portions, so they are sure to keep you full until your next meal and eliminate the need for some extra snacks. The menu includes over 50 delicious options, conveniently divided into several categories, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, sides, non-Paleo sides, and bulk menu items. All individual dishes come in 1-serving packages and bulk items come in 1 lb. At all times, there are around half a dozen breakfasts to choose from, all of them high in protein and incredibly satisfying.
The items include the likes of bacon and egg muffin, burrito-less scramble, sweet potato hash browns, and applewood smoked bacon. Lunches feature a lovely balance between fresh, colorful veggies and proteins. Most of them are classic chicken dishes like chicken Milanese over arugula, grilled chicken strips, and chicken Florentine. Dinner items are the most numerous, with over a dozen of options at your disposal. They are more creative than lunch items, rich in both nutrients and proteins, and feature all kinds of meat and fish.
You can enjoy BBQ pulled chicken, chicken and broccoli over cauliflower rice, grass-fed steak tips with grilled vegetables, spaghetti squash Bolognese, pulled pork, herb-crusted salmon, and many other delicious items. The company also offers a variety of tasty vegetable sides, including sweet potato French fries, spiralized zucchini and summer squash, sautéed Brussels sprouts, and sweet potato pancakes.
Non-Paleo sides are less numerous and mostly focus on rice. They include such innovative dishes like basmati rice with mushrooms and spinach or brown rice with dried cranberries and scallions.
As far as bulk menu items are concerned, you can choose from a variety of meat and vegetable items. Every week, there is a new weekly special that stands out from the rest of the menu by being even more imaginative and tempting than other items.
Photoshopping is the norm. Fit, in shape people are actually paid to get fat………. And before and after shots are kinda the norm in this business. I might hate the concept and the idea of the before and after shot as a whole, I love putting them out on our client transformation page.
Those who send me before and after shots have done an unreal job. And some of the differences are rather profound. Now, are those people going to lose 40 pounds or gain 15 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks? And those pictures might be legit. But from the looks of things, those people lost pounds of weight or more per WEEK. The only way to do that is an extremely low-caloric intake on top of brutal physical exercise.
Not many can do it. A lot of muscle has been lost as well. Real week progress is more subtle. And if you string together 12 weeks, then another 12 weeks, then another 12 weeks, pretty soon fitness becomes what you do…………….
My clients, at the end of their 12 weeks, sometimes are ready to be displayed on the internet, but sometimes they are not. But no matter their current stage, if one of them wants their progress to be shown, then dammit, so be it. One of my clients just finishing up his 12 weeks with me was recently highlighted on the client transformation page. After all, 40 out of those 52 weeks were spent either on his own or with another coach.
When prospective clients send me an email, often times I have to set some realistic goals for them. Buy P90x, get on Nutrisystem.
If you can make it the full 90 days, I promise you will lose 30 pounds. I thought his perspective could benefit others. His waistline has been reduced by a full 5 inches. My questions are bolded and his answers are italicized. I have underlined the portions that really struck a chord with me. Congratulations on the phenomenal transformation. Your one-year pictures, especially, are remarkable. What initially caused you to decide to make a change in your life?
The first thing I did was reach out to a buddy of mine from college who was a trainer for the Kansas City Royals baseball team. He gave me some initial guidance when it came to nutrition, but the main thing he did was provide support and hold me accountable. He would text me everyday to see how my diet was going and give me advice.
When you decided you needed to make a change, you chose heavy barbell lifting as the means to accomplish that. Probably not just because I'll never be able to get this thought of filtering an otherwise great drink through a pair of fine, Italian loafers, but I hope that it doesn't discourage you from picking some up for yourself. Ahhh, big city boy like you coming down to the South, eh?
Well we've got a thing or two to teach you about how we do things 'round here. For starters, we only wear overalls. For the women-folk, they wear sundresses. That's the way 'tis and that's the way it's gonna be, now and forever. Number two is that we make our pies with lard, the way that mama made 'em. None of that fancy, low calorie margarine like you city slickers have up there. If y'ain't got lard, butter. Ol' fashioned butter'll make everything go down smoother.
Get used to it. Fourth is that we make our sweet tea with two things; tea and sugar. That's it and that's all, now and f'ever. What's that you got there, boy? That better be a bottle that used to have paint or some sort of gas-o-line in it or I ain't tasting' it.
Alright, give her here, I'll take a swig. Swill is what it is. It's downright syrupy, if you ask me. City boy, number five is respect your elders so don't you forget it. Real Southern sweet tea is smooth and sweet. This is smooth and sweet and syrupy. Do you remember me saying that real Southern sweet tea is s'posed to be syrupy? Boy, you've got some learnin' to do before you make it down here.
It's not all swamps and gators and biscuits and gravy. What'd you say, darlin'? I've got to go, boy. M'wife made gator stew with biscuits and gravy. He goes on more little trips than anyone I know. Dude will just up and leave and I'll call him and he'll say "Oh, I'd love to get tacos but I'm in Nebraska" or "I'd love to get pizza but I'm in Albuquerque". One thing that Dan excels at is thinking of Thirsty Dudes and always bringing us stuff back.
Well on this occasion, he brought us stuff back from a store that is two miles away that carries this drink that I've never seen, Jay's never seen, and Derek's never seen. That's strange as we typically scour stores we've been to hundreds of times. You know, just in case. So he brought us back every flavor they had and I paid him in a burrito. He wanted me to wait for him to try this, but since he's not here, I'm thirsty, and this guy was cold, I had to go in without him.
He would and should be upset. It's got all the inherent bitterness you would expect from a white tea but a killer, natural strawberry flavor through and through. It contains "strawberry flavoring" which is a bit ominous but it also contains Poteet strawberry puree although there isn't any seeds or strawberry remnants. Poteet is a city in Texas known for its strawberry festival, and dude, if this is what they come up with, I might have to schedule a trip.
This tea is wonderful.
